St. Tammany Fire District #4 Receives CLASS 1 Rating

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Class 1 RatingIt is with a great deal of pride that I share some historic news with you today. I have just received notification from the Property Insurance Association of Louisiana (PIAL), that the Public Fire Protection Classification for St. Tammany Fire District #4 has improved to CLASS 1 for residential and commercial properties. Fire District #4 is the FIRST department in St. Tammany Parish to receive a CLASS 1 rating and only the sixth within the State of Louisiana to hold such a distinction.

This event is a milestone in the history of our Fire District and the credit is due to our Board of Commissioners, our Fire Chief Kenneth Moore, and the 110 Firefighters that have worked long hard hours over the past years to accomplish this historic classification for the citizens we serve. This event will reduce the Fire Insurance premiums for residential and commercial properties within the boundaries of Fire Protection District #4.

I have scheduled a Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners for Tuesday, June 12, at 5:30pm at the Fire Training Center off Hwy 59, to present/enter the letter formerly into the minutes of the District, and to have a reception following for the Firefighters, citizens, and public officials to attend. Kindly accept this notice as your invitation to join us next Tuesday afternoon. We look for to seeing you there.

Respectfully,
Wm. H. "Bill" Dobson
