District 4 Firefighters and EMS Personnel – Hurricane Ida Response

As Chairman of the Fire District Board of Commissioners I would like to take this means to offer my sincere and heartfelt congratulations for the tremendous job each of you accomplished during this time of Emergency Disaster that has struck our community. I have been well aware of our department’s policy of assisting our citizens with placing blue tarps on houses with tree damage to help mitigate further damage to one’s property.

I never thought I would become a user of this service. Myself and my family evacuated to Orange Beach Alabama and were displaced for 13 days. The Fire Department, assisting the private contractor I hired to place the blue tarp on the metal roof that was seriously damaged was and is very much appreciated by myself and my family. The same goes for my 93 year old mother, who suffers from severe Dementia. Your services are appreciated very much, and will long be remembered.

I as well as the dozens of other homeowners in our District who were assisted by the services our District provides are also very grateful and thankful for the hard work and the long hours each of you put in during this storm and all the others in the past. Now we begin to rebuild our lives, clear the damage, wait for the insurance adjusters to do their jobs and hopefully our contractors can have the repairs done in a timely manner.

My family will continue to keep each of you in our prayers and once again say THANK YOU for a job(s) well done!

Respectfully,
Wm. H. "Bill" Dobson
